This is what I meant to say! Dear Bish great pictures - what a technical wizard you are on a computer. Have you ever thought of becoming an IT Consultant? We are having good times here as well. Just spent weekend camping with Pete and Pam near Montgomery. Fantastic weather and two long walks near Stiperstones/Long Mynd. The views were extraordinary as were the pints of Black Sheep and Reverend James afterwards!
Met Alan on campsite, smashing chap who is celebrating his 60th by walking from Land's End to John O Groats in 11 weeks. I think it would have been easier the other way round as he would have been walking downhill all the way but - there you go - some people like to do things the hard way. We told him about your trip and in your honour, cooked him a Big Builder's Butty for his breakfast! Look forward to your next blog. We think of you every day, wondering where you have got to and which middle european girls you are pestering at the time. They can have a rest this week as you will be having a v. romantic time with Sweetheart. We will hear all when she returns. loads of love Ros
Good to hear from you Mr and Mrs 'B', sounds like you had a great time in Montgomery and Long Mynd. Looking forward to joining you for a good pint of English ale, 'eurolager' ok but not like the real thing!
Fear not Bish The Aged Rock God is back! Been in the highlands for a week where it rained for three days on the West coast and for four days on the East coast!(Actually that's a lie like the amazing sailing trip the sun came out quite a lot East of Stirling). By now you'll be refreshed and I'm sure Sweetheart's ministrations have helped your poorly knee.
Wonderful to see the photos, nearly as good as the Highlands and about as far. Your favourite bicycle repair man looks a lot like you son-in-law (Simon that is).
Great experience cycling through England, France, Italy and Greece in 2007. It's now time for the return trip. Hence "Blog" reincarnated!
Thanks to all of you who supported me both in spirit and with fundraising on my trip out. I finally raised over £2,000 - a fantastic effort from all.
Anyone wishing to donate any amount however small (or large!) please see my first post to view details of the charity I have chosen to support, and link to "justgiving" web page.
This is a trial run as have had huge probs signing in
