  1. Good going Wol,

I see that the Dardanelles flashed past pretty quickly eh?

Pedal on now towards love and rest in Budapest!

We will toast you at asparagus lunch tomorrow.

  2. Bishton, you blithering idiot!

The world is waiting with baited breath.

The public has a right to know (and wipe that smug look off Magoo's face).

Confirm the dipping distance and tell us you can't see Lesbos from the Dardenelles on a clear day!@@!!!

  3. Hi Grandpa. Can't believe you're in Bulgaria already. How's the goulash? Laurent has managed to hook me up so that I can follow you now! Love from Rach, Laurent, Jess and the Horrors! xxxx

  4. What ho Wal! Admittedly it has taken me some time to post my promised post, but here it is nonetheless, and I will hereafter endeavour to keep up with the seemingly marvelous progress of the most avid collector of meer cat paraphernalia that I have ever encountered!
Now, one small snag with the tardiness of my communications is this - all week I have had Costos, Stellios, and Stavros (a trio of erudite engineers) toiling away on the old Tiger Moth, making her ready for a flight to the land of ancient lesbian affections, and I did very much intend to shout "chocks away" this weekend and embark upon that very flight! Now it seems I have once again missed the proverbial boat - and my hair looks like the proverbial thatch due to lack of barbers in the borough - as you have already started your long journey on 'Sweetheart's' Great Aunt Constance's old penny farthing! Alas, such great disappointment for all involved, especially Lord Somerset who was coming along for ride...he'll be most upset as he was looking forward to meeting all of those straggly strays in the winding streets of Lafiona.
Anyway old goose, I must go as I am supposed to be sorting my life out this morning, together with studying for the impending doom of an exhileratingly interesting company law exam! Wowsers!
Best of luck S-N, and I really do hope that you make it unscathed through the perils of The Alps...there are many bands of highwaymen abroad this season, and they have a penchant for Edwardian penny farthings. Just remeber your new maxim: 'Wally's voyage-contra mundum'. Shout that out and you'll be filled with courage!
    Best of luck,
    Potter
